Jet was in the Pacific Northwest in August and part of September of 2004. We thought he needed to test the water or ground so to speak at some PRCA and amateur rodeos. His new rider was Katy Bremner of Ellensburg, Washington. Never having met before, the two said a brief "Hello", and were off on the "Rodeo Trail". After it was all said and done Jet and Katy had won approximately $5,200, and were the Champions of the Grandview and Othello PRCA rodeos!

AT THE CONCLUSION OF OUR 2005 BREEDING SEASON IN JULY, MELANIE SOUTHARD AND JET GOT TOGETHER TO CONTINUE HER DRIVE TO THE 2005 WNFR. WITH HER GOOD HORSE HURT, SHE WAS WILLING TO TAKE JET. AFTER SIX RODEOS THEY HAVE WON TWO (IDAHO FALLS AND HEBER CITY, UTAH), 2nd AT DEADWOOD, SD AND TIED FOR 6th AT SPANISH FORK, UTAH! PICTURES TO COME. CHECK BACK FOR UPDATED RESULTS. 9/5/05 Made short-go at Ellensburg with a 17.4 and a 17.7 - sitting 10th in the average, unfortunately they tipped the second barrel in the finals.
9/16/05 - Ran a 17.03 (standard pattern) to win Othello PRCA rodeo for the second year in a row, and set a new arena record!
10/7/05 - Marble Falls, TX PRCA 17.49 (5th place).
10/7/05 - Waco, TX PRCA (4th in 1st Go, 2nd in Short Go, 1st in Average).
10/19/05 - Liberty, TX PRCA 15.38 (1st place).
10/20/05 - Franklinton, LA PRCA 30.51 (1st in Average).
IT'S OFFICIAL!! AT THE END OF THE QUALIFYING YEAR, MELANIE IS SITTING IN 12TH PLACE IN THE WORLD STANDINGS, MAKING HER ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE IN THE '05 WNFR! SHE HAS PUT IN A LOT OF LONG HARD MILES, RUNNING THREE HORSES, JET, KAT AND SNICKERS. WE OFFER OUR SINCEREST CONGRATULATIONS, AND HEARTFELT "GOOD LUCK" TO HER.
